They won't have the preteen trait until they are instanced in so make sure you either play the household or visit them so they can load in. You can always change your personality trait by clicking on the sim. They can be found in the slice-of-life skincare menu or build/buy mode. You can buy face mask packets which are physical packages that you can open and use or gift to other sims.
I fixed the issue with NPCs not turning into preteens. Requires: Slice of Life Base & Base Game Contains script file: Yes Personalities are implemented through traits and are randomized based on your sims create-a-sim traits. Allows your sims to wear sheet masks to protect against acne. AugThis is the official base for the slice of life mod which allows the menu to function, the mod to work properly, and also the slice of life packs to work in your game. You're able to disable this notification in the Config File or through the Preteen Settings Pie menu. The startup notification also says the current mod version which makes mod support easier. For obvious reasons, the modification has gained a sizable fan base. You'll also be able to shrink sims down to preteen height (even works if they aren't preteens) & reset them to their normal height. Preteen Base Settings Pie Menu: This is where you'll have the option to add/remove the preteen trait. It also has a "Current Settings" interaction that lists out the current settings.
